Who We Are

Sisterhood is not a destination but a Journey.

The Houston Metropolitan Alumnae Association is a recognized alumnae association of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. HMAA serves as an avenue for alumnae members to continue engaging within the organization and the community utilizing the five principles of SLG: Academics, Community Service, Cultural Awareness, Morals & Ethics, and Social Interaction.

As newly graduated members, or firmly established alumnae, seek to initiate themselves into a post-graduate environment, HMAA provides an opportunity to remain active and vocal in SLG's growth and development.  Active alumnae sisters can also seek to become engaged members of an EAC or act as a local chapter advisor.

Overall HMAA is a great opportunity to empower women of all diversities and backgrounds into the transition of SLG's next phase of sisterhood.. Every sister is welcomed and becomes a valued member of a growing family seeking to share the message that "Culture is pride, Pride is Success!"
